Pick Punch: Make your own guitar picks

Published by Ryan Edmunds under Accessories Edit This

Ever tried to make your own guitar picks? I did a few experiments with melting things into picks with custom logos on them. Wanna’ know what I found out? Nothing I can make is as cool as this thing. The pick puncher costs just $24.95 and is now pre-ordering.

This is pretty great. Make your own picks from almost anything. Whatever can be punched can be a pick. You can make picks out of credit cards, plastic lids, everything you can imagine is now a free guitar pick. If you’re anything like me you might have one or two picks under your couch cushions if you’re lucky.

DiMarzio launch Artist Pickups

Published by Ryan Edmunds under Accessories Edit This

Artist signature guitars are nothing new, but have always been viewed as high-end and expensive. Fans of Billy Corgan’s signature Fender Strat, Andy Timmons’s signature Ibanez, or Steve Morse’s custom Music Man may have spent the last few months saving and pinching every penny they could in hopes of one day affording them, but now they may have a quick fix! If you’re fit to do a little wiring and have a non-custom model of the guitars, that is.

The pickup company has launched the DiMarzio Billy Corgan BC-1 & BC-2, the DiMarzio Andy Timmons AT-1, and reintroduced the Steve Morse Neck and Bridge model pickups. These are the same custom pickups in the artists’ signature model guitars.

You can read more about them on the DiMarzio website
