Lita Ford - New album on the way
The self-procliamed “Queen Of Metal” announced that her first album in 18 years wll be released this coming fall. Tentatively titled Wicked Wonderland, the disc will be released on her own JLRG Entertainment label.
βIt’s harder and sexier than anything I’ve ever done,β Ford said in a media release.
Wicked Wonderland was co-produced by Ford with her husband and former Nitro singer Jim Gillette, and Greg Hampton, who is known for his work with Alice Cooper, and his own band Science Faxtion (with Bootsy Collins, and Buckethead and Brain from Guns Nβ Roses fame).
Hampton and Gillette are currently filling instrumental duties in the band with former W.A.S.P. drummer, Stet Howland.
The former Runaway has spent much of the last 15 years living on an island in the Caribbean raising her two sons. In addition to the new album, Ford is also planning to hit the road this summer playing select festivals and motorcycle rallies both stateside and in Europe.
