Guitars for girls

Published by Ryan Edmunds at 4:05 pm under Blog Edit This

Girls have been rocking as hard, and sometimes harder, than boys for decades now. Its’ no surprise that guitars tailored for girls is already a thriving industry. The original girl guitar was Daisy Rock electric guitars.

Daisy Rock guitar are known as the definitive guitars for girls.  They shook the electric guitar industry when they introduced us to a new world of design for electric guitar. SUddenly we were seeing Butterfly, heart and flower shaped guitars in every guitar magazine on the rack.

They have come a long way from the flower shaped guitars they were making in the early ’00’s with the new Rebel Rockit series of guitars. Rebel Rockits come in either heart of supernova style, both utilizing that trademark Daisy Rock pizzaz that girls love. The heart or supernova shaped pickguards also match the fret inlaying in shape and glitter style.

The secret to the playability and comfort factor of these guitars is in the lightweight adler bodies and unique slimline necks which are designed for smaller hands making them the perfect girl guitars. But don’t let all the hearts and flowers tied around this manufacturer fool you, these Daisy’s pack some brawn.

Hardware includes a Daisy Rock Vintage Style bridge with tremolo, custom chrome tuners with the Daisy logo, and three custom single coil pickups. The guitar’s electronics feature a master volume and dual tone knobs give you the full range in tone.

Fender has made Hello Kitty versions of their top selling models in the acoustic, electric and bass guitar categories. The Fender Statocaster, a rock standard, has been Hello Kittie’d, as well as the Fender DreadNought Acoustic and the Bronco Bass. I would have thought the logical choice for Bass would be a Fender Jazz but I assume these guys knew what they were doing. It also features a simplistic wiring set up, only 1 pickup and volume control (much like the Tom Delong strat).
